Welcome to the 2nd Conference of Nutrition and Dietetics (COND-2023) slated for 17th – 20th of October, 2023 at KNUST in Kumasi, Ghana. COND-2023 is a biennial scientific conference organized by the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
COND-2023 will bring together diverse scholars, researchers, practitioners, activists, academics, and case studies to share the latest information and ground-breaking research in related fields of nutrition, dietetics, and food sciences from sub-saharan Africa and all over the world, in parallel sessions to share ground-breaking research while offering many networking, mentoring, and publishing opportunities.
After a successful maiden COND in 2021, the interest and expectation for the next COND continues to grow. COND-2023 will attract a wider audience of scholars, researches, activists, students and professionals, including dietitians, nutritionists, and agriculturist, health and others who thrives to provide solutions of current challenges and complexities in this fields of nutrition, dietetics, and food sciences.
COND-2023 aims to provide a platform for high level discourse and exchange of cutting-edge knowledge on promoting sustainable food systems for nutrition and development, and identify challenges and opportunities for capacity strengthening in all related fields of nutrition and dietetics. The fallout of the conference will contribute to the development of evidence-based policies, programs, and interventions that can help address the global challenges related to improving food systems in Africa and globally.
The Scientific Committee of COND-2023 is preparing an innovative, inspiring and intriguing program that will, under the overall Conference slogan, try to “strengthen capacity“. is designed with exceptional programs which include:

- Award lectures delivered by distinguished leaders

The Conference will be held in the ultra modern conference and lecture complex of the KNUST School of Business with meeting rooms, and foyers to cover all the needs of the delegates, but also providing a warm-hearted, cozy and slightly retro atmosphere well-suited for conversation and socializing.
Kumasi is the second largest metropolitan city in Ghana and the capital city of the Ashanti Region. Kumasi is located in a rain forest region near Lake Bosomtwe, and is the commercial, industrial, and cultural capital of the historical Ashanti Empire. Kumasi is approximately 500 kilometres (300 mi) north of the Equator and 200 kilometres (100 mi) north of the Gulf of Guinea. Its unique central position makes it accessible from all corners of the country with exciting tourist sites that depicts the rich historic and cultural profile of the Asante kingdom and the country.
